i love kendall jenner’s style in aspen. every year, it’s shockingly good. i feel like celebrities don’t often give us amazing winter outfits since most of them live in L.A. and don’t often have to endure the bitter cold. but when celebrities go to Aspen, we get the most amazing coats, layering, and winter fashion inspo. i love it, and kendall is ALWAYS one of my favorites to watch.
THIS LOOK. Unfortunately, it was a Balenciaga coat (unfortunate), but UGH I loved it. I know a lot of people are upset over her wearing fur in Aspen. I’m very, very torn on how to feel about this. Obviously, as an animal lover and pet mom, the thought of real fur makes me incredibly sad. However, I don’t see the same energy for leather boots, leather bags, leather gloves, etc. I personally own leather boots and bags as well as a vintage real fur coat. I feel strongly that buying vintage fur is the way to go, especially considering how bad faux fur is for the environment. I also feel like, most normal people, (myself included), would never ever be able to buy a fur coat brand new. They’re incredibly expensive and due to changing animal rights laws, more brands are opting out of using real fur (love to see that), so I don’t feel that Kendall wearing fur will really be promoting people purchasing real fur. This is one of those issues where I feel unsure of how to proceed, as I really feel like there’s no right answer here, besides being completely vegan which I feel like most people aren’t.
TheYSL boots with this look also ATE. and I loved the sunglasses with it.. I know I’m in the minority with that one, though.
Another beautiful coat look. This was truly stunning in its simplicity. I also like that it was a bit more casual. I LOVE A GOOD COAT.
This Rick Owens / YSL look is definitely my least favorite of the bunch. The Rick Owens boots do look like medical boots, like when you break your legs, and the leggings kind of ruined it for me. Honestly, this YSL leather puffer was too good to be paired with leggings.
This look showed me that Kendall Jenner is truly Phoebe Philo’s it girl. I genuinely think that Kendall Jenner should just make her career out of good street style photoshoots, like this one. I’m obviously not the biggest fan of her modeling, but I love her street style, and I love the way she wears clothes. Paparazzi photos of her in a good look always eat, and I kind of wish that her entire career was just brand deals / partnerships for her paparazzi photos. It’d be like influencing, but at the highest level possible, and it’d be absolutely amazing. She kind of does that now, but I would honestly love to see a good Kendall look every other day.
This Phoebe Philo coat is $27,000. Honestly.. WHO is buying this stuff? I do love this coat, but nothing about it screams to me that it’s worth that price tag. It’s cute, but it’s not that cute. Sorry.
This was a good one. UGH, I loved this one. This Rick Owens jacket is truly beautiful and so unique, and I love the way it matches the leggings. I will forever love a shiny, leather-y looking legging, and the texture of these with the coat is just so good. This is a very ‘Aspen mom getting Martinis with the gals’ outfit, but it’s not overwhelmingly mature. and she looks amazing in it.

P.S. I’ve never been to Aspen. I have absolutely no idea what the vibes are, so I’m taking what I can from these Kendall looks and am probably making completely false assumptions.
